"One composition generates the next – and I take over. A kind of chain reaction."

For some years now I have been working on my images digitally. It seems to me that this high-tech approach answers my need to work quickly. Once the foundation of an idea is laid, I can turn to what follows with real virtuosity. What's wonderful, too, is that I can draw in all the techniques that are also part of my artistic practice – painting, photography and video. Anything is possible! I work with these media with great passion.

The plastic I have chosen turns out to be a wonderful medium for all my artistic intentions. Under “Editions” you can see that I use this transparent plastic (the white is printed on the back of the material, where it becomes entirely transparent) not only as the carrier material for my panel paintings, but also for my Li-Scha jewellery objects, “for men” or “for women”.

I often describe the digital creation of my panel paintings as a relay. One composition generates the next – and I take over! I'm always curious what new discoveries or statements will emerge as the images come together. A kind of chain reaction!
