Kraft-Ausdruck
I chose Kraft-Ausdruck (“force-expression”) as the title of my exhibition because it struck me as fitting in three different ways.
It is the time of force – physical as much as psychological – transferred onto kraft paper. Colour and form become interpreters of life: a coming together and a pulling apart, a manifesting and a discarding, a building up and a tearing down.
Lines are life stories, like rivers that reshape the pictorial landscape and give rise to new forms. Where energy is strongest, the weak must yield – games of force!
