„…und es ist die Liebe doch!“ Einführung
A project conceived over many years, in 14 phases. Each phase grows out of the one before it – paintings, milled works and installations as an ongoing chain reaction.
My title is a synthesis of two sentences by famous men: Galileo's “…and yet it moves!” and Dante's “…the Love that moves the sun and the other stars” from the “Divine Comedy”. Galileo meant physical, outer time, Dante poetic, inner time – in both, movement is decisive. I'm interested in the signals of science: I imagine that the universe consists of many “spaces”, like cell divisions, like the morula and blastocyst of an embryo – the macrocosm a structure of ever-differentiating bubbles.
For my project I design, out of this “ALL-Molecule”, a modulation in 14 phases: a fictional, visual space-story of longing, becoming and passing. The images begin calm and concrete, grow explosive and expressive under increasing pressure, then implode and compress as the sequence continues. On the islands and peripheries of these life-streams lie resting places, where knowledge is exchanged before being carried onward on stormy waves – the end is the beginning, just as the past is the future.
