Stabibi
In contrast to the Mobibi, the “mobile images”, the Stabibi stand calm and stable in space. Original painting on transparent PET, free-standing – the image becomes an object; you can walk around it and view it from both sides. Motifs from my long-term project, such as mother and child (M+K), appear here three-dimensionally.
When the Stabibi stand loose, without a fixed base, I also call them Kubi – backdrop images. Stable image-objects that, despite their calm, let the painting take effect from every side.
