Vogelmenschen
Vogelmenschen (Bird-People) began as ink and acrylic sketches of wire figures.
The fall of light made them cast shadows that reminded me, by association, of birds' wings – hence the name. The dream of rising lightly and silently into the air, without the noise of engines, still occupies humankind today.
In the project “Identity – homeobox plus” I also consider this possibility in light of genetic research.
